Work shorter weeks March - June and lead a series of backcountry hitches with our Wildereness Corps June - September. Our summer hitches run between eight and 14 days. Crew leaders are responsible for managing a team of staff and interns to deliver on project goals. 

We offer generous overtime opportunities, a free housing option at our facility just a mile from the Rogue River, as well as the chance to see some of the West Coast's most remote wilderness areas. 2026 project locations include the Wild & Scenic Rogue River, Kalmiopsis Wilderness, Bull of the Woods Wilderness, Marble Mountain Wilderness, Sky Lakes Wilderness, Mountain Lakes Wilderness, Red Buttes Wilderness, and an exchange with the Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation. 

Minimum three years of backcountry trails experience necessary. Outstanding communication skills are necessary as well as proven leadership experience. Each year our crews deliver landscape-scale results.
