As a veterinary-accredited facility, we are committed to becoming a leader in wildlife conservation, clinical research, medicine, training, and education. Our mission is to serve as a
hub for discovering and sharing new knowledge, while training the next generation of wildlife custodians, responders, conservationists, veterinarians, and biologists.

Who We’re Looking For:

Location:
Caledon Village, Ontario
Accomodation:
Accommodation may be provided for an additional fee.
Commitment:
- Duration: Fall (September 1, 2025 - January 4, 2026 ) or Winter (January 5 - May 3, 2026)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (subject to change based on workload). A schedule will be provided at the start of the internship.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18
- Valid driver’s license
- Rabies vaccination (proof of titre level required)
- Tetanus vaccination (within the past 10 years)
- Physically fit
- Ability to follow NWC protocols and health & safety guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and feed diets for both adult and infant animals
- Assist with animal capture and restraint
- Assist with giving animals medication
- Clean and maintain indoor and outdoor enclosures
- Provide and collect natural environmental enrichment.
- Document and observe animal health and behavior
- Wash, dry, and fold laundry, as well as clean dishes
- Sweep, mop, and disinfect the facility
- Engage positively with the public and assist with phone inquiries
- Support the Wildlife Rehabilitation Manager and Veterinarians as needed
- Contribute to special projects as assigned
