Description:
Looking for year-round field work with wildlife? UrbanX Pest & Wildlife is hiring a Wildlife Specialist to resolve human–wildlife conflicts at homes and businesses through humane removal and exclusion.

You’ll inspect properties to find signs of wildlife activity, such as entry points, tracks, droppings, and nesting. You’ll identify the species involved, then fix the problem by installing one-way doors, sealing entry points, and making exclusion repairs so animals can’t get back in. You’ll also explain your findings to property owners, recommend solutions, and document every job with photos and field notes.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect attics, crawlspaces, rooflines, and foundations for wildlife activity and damage
• Identify species from sign and assess how far the problem extends
• Perform humane removal and exclusion work in line with state wildlife laws and animal welfare standards
• Install exclusion devices, vent covers, chimney caps, and barriers
• Perform attic sanitation and cleanup when trained
• Walk customers through findings and present estimates for recommended work
• Document jobs in our field software (GorillaDesk) with photos and notes
• Follow ladder, roof-access, PPE, and chemical-safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Interest or background in wildlife biology, natural resources, or a related field (degree preferred but not required) [edit as needed]
• Comfortable working on ladders and roofs and in attics and crawlspaces, in all seasons
• Strong communication skills and comfort talking with customers
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record [confirm]
