The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center in Hampton Bays, New York takes in thousands of animals every single year.

We are now interviewing to fill intern positions for the Summer of 2024. We offer internships mostly to college undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a
career as a veterinarian or veterinary technician but we encourage all majors to apply.

Interns are expected to work 12 weeks. Work weeks consist of 40 hours and the shifts are 7am-5pm.  YOU MUST HAVE HOUSING WITHIN 30 MILES OF THE CENTER
As a Wildlife Rehabilitation Intern you will assist the Hospital Staff with all day to day operations within the hospital. Some responsibilities you can anticipate are preparing
species appropriate diets, administering various medications, maintaining detailed record keeping, providing enriching husbandry and feeding orphaned babies. You will be
responsible for the welfare of all patients and will get an opportunity to learn about the many species we cohabitate with.
